Children bring Christmas joy: nativity play in Oberbreisig enthusiastic!

Oberbreisig, Deutschland - In the tranquil church of St. Viktor in Oberbreisig, the nativity play is performed on Christmas Eve, which is a deeply rooted tradition for many believers. The children, under the direction of Josefine Bonn, have prepared for this special moment in weeks of rehearsals. Despite the pouring rain outside, the interior of the church shines in a festive shine with decorated fir trees and a lovingly constructed crib, such as the Rhein-Zeitung reported. This performance is not just a performance, but an expression of the Christmas message that the children announce with enthusiasm.

The children exude a similar magic in the St. Anne Church in west, where they present the nativity play "The Little Hirtenjunge Nathanael". This performance, which takes place at Christmas Eve at 4 p.m., was initiated by Deacon Christian Wietfeldt and is particularly comprehensible for smaller children. With around 20 girls and boys who have rehearsed the story of Maria and Josef in verse form, this performance also promises to become a moving experience. According to Wietfeldt, the Christmas story is still of great importance, since it donates strength and consolation to many people in the hectic pre-Christmas period, such as the Kreiszeitung reported.

In both churches, the nativity play is not only for performance, but to the lively part of the Christmas celebrations that addresses and combines adults and children alike. The intensive rehearsals and the common commitment of the children show how important this tradition is for the community and how it makes Christmas something very special.
