On-demand traffic in Germany: convince three quarters of the offers!

On-demand traffic in Germany was recently subjected to a test by the ACE automobile club, which was carried out during the European Mobility Week. 33 on-demand offers, including call buses and collecting taxis, could be rated nationwide. The results show that about 75% of the tested services section with the rating "excellent". Only two offers received an insufficient assessment.

Various aspects of the offers rated

testers, including the telephone booking, registration via the app and the lead time for bookings and availability in outskirts. The call bus "Friedrich" from Greifswald and the "Movemix Shuttle" from Halle an der Saale, each scored 14 out of 15 points and are both barrier -free. The "Friedrich" offer picks up the users of specified stops, while the "Movemix Shuttle" picks up and control passengers at desired locations.

positive test results and need for improvement

The test field shows that the majority of on-demand offers are considered a valuable addition to mobility, especially for people without a license. Over 90% of the tested services met the requirements for user -friendliness, comfort and accessibility. Despite the positive results, the ACE pointed out the need for a clearer pricing and better integration into existing tariffs.

In comparison, "Flexa" in Leipzig and "VLP" in Görslow were classified as insufficient, since they often negatively noticed short -term cancellations or non -appearance of vehicles. The test results also show that the price and the flexible booking options are decisive for users, whereby many offers are available in regular tariffs and the "Expressbus" in Pfaffenhofen is even free of charge.

Overall, it becomes clear that the tested on-demand offers offer great potential to improve mobility in Germany, especially in less well-developed areas. However, further optimization in the organization and tariffs is required for sustainable use, as well as in the reports of busplaner.de and Welt.de
