Burscheid plans to redesign: Your opinion now counts!

Burscheid, Deutschland - Burscheid. An exciting new process for the redesign of Burscheid city center has started! In September, the city of Burscheid invited residents to share their ideas and wishes for the area around the marketplace, church curve and the Lower Hauptstraße. This marks the start of the integrated urban development concept (ISEK), which sees the city as a decisive step towards the culture of the city center.

The first citizens' information event on September 5 was a complete success! Around 80 citizens flocked to the Evangelical Free Church to express their opinions. Mayor Dirk Runge opened the evening, followed by a short input of Ass. The moderator Michael Lobeck made sure that every voice was heard - the suggestions are now incorporated into the first designs! It is a first step into a new era for Burscheid, and the citizens want to be part of it.

However, the commitment should not end! The city of Burscheid calls for further participation: To ensure that all ideas are heard, citizens can submit written proposals by October 31. Whether by email to planning@burscheid.de or by post, every voice counts! And that's not all - in the spring of 2025 there will be another citizen participation in which the first variants of the redesign will be discussed. Burscheid's redesign is in the starting blocks, and the citizens are invited to actively shape the future of their city!
