Bergisch Gladbach Youth Prize: Focus on volunteer projects!
A majestic reception for the heroes of the youth! At 11 a.m., the horns of the Max Bruchmusikschule Hornquartet heralded the exciting day of the Bergisch Gladbach Children's and Youth Prize in the festive council hall of the Bensberg town hall. On this beaming day, the Gellert Foundation paid tribute to the most committed projects that work tirelessly for the future of children and adolescents.
The mayor Frank Stein opened the ceremony and revealed the importance of this award. "We honor the heroes who are passionate about our children. Your projects are essential!" The Gellert Foundation, supported by the Hahn real estate group, put deep in its pocket this year and rewarded the best with almost 20,000 euros, which makes this price one of the highest in Germany!
impressive projects awarded
The tension increased when the prices were awarded! The third price winner project, the sponsor project of the German Child Protection Association Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis, received an impressive 250 euros and an additional project budget of 2500 euros. The deputy chair Angelika Kerr accepted the award with joy. Second place went to the touching project "Life with Death" from the DRK district association, which was rewarded with 500 euros and 5000 euros for activities. "It is an honor that our commitment will be seen!" Currently called the volunteer coordinator Renate Gronewald.
But the real highlight? The winner of the evening! The association "Gifts against children's tears" drummed the masses with an impressive record of 71,106 gifts collected and 452 recipient families. With 1000 euros prize money and an incredible 10,000 euro project budget, the organization will conjure up even more bright children's eyes in the coming season. "It is not the gifts collected, but the 47,404 beaming children's eyes," said the first chairman Jasmin Thamer when she proudly accepted the award.
The festive atmosphere was rounded off by the musical end of the horn quartet and delicious snacks in the foyer. Here in Bergisch Gladbach it becomes clear how much passion is in voluntary work, and that deserves the greatest respect!
