25 years of movement kindergarten: Bad Honnef celebrates healthy future!

Bad Honnef-A grand festival for the 25th anniversary of the "Recognized Movement Kindergarten" approval took place in the TV Eiche daycare center "Die Eichhörnchen"! The State Sports Association of North Rhine -Westphalia and the State Chancellery of NRW celebrated this special occasion with an impressive program that focused on the importance of movement in early childhood education.

Mayor Otto Neuhoff spoke and emphasized the importance of creating healthy foundations in early childhood: "What Hänschen does not learn, Hans learns more." He emphasized that the cooperation between parents, kindergarten and associations is crucial to actively promote children. The TV Eiche has been a shining example of this cooperation for 25 years and has received one of almost 1,050 approval seals for movement kindergartens.

The state program "Recognized Movement Kindergarten", launched in 1999, has set itself the goal of anchoring active promotion of movement in day-to-day life. Supported by the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia and the State Sports Association of North Rhine-Westphalia, the cooperation between daycare centers and sports clubs is promoted to offer children a wide range of movement options. Martin Wonik, Managing Director of Sports Youth, emphasized the urgency of inspiring children at an early stage for sport in order to avoid health risks through lack of exercise.

State Secretary Andrea Milz added that early promotion of movement was a central concern of the state government because it sustainably shapes the children's movement biography. During the celebrations, two daycare groups showed impressive movement ideas with music and dance before the people present took the opportunity to network. The importance of volunteering was emphasized in all speeches, because without the committed instructors, such a range of movement would be unthinkable. Melanie Eimmermacher, the managing director of TV Eiche, thanked the daycare staff for her excellent work and the good cooperation.
