Regional league package: Gelpe/Strombach and Nümbrecht in the competitive game check!
In the regional league, exciting games are imminent while the teams are preparing for the upcoming challenges. HC Gelpe/Strombach in particular expects a newcomer to the league with the VT Kempen and hopes for the first points of the season. The game will take place on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in the Eugen Haas Hall.
The team of coach Philipp-Jonas Wilhelm was confronted with unexpected difficulties last season. After a cancellation of TSV Bayer Leverkusen II, which thwarted the planned opening of the season, they were only able to score the first points at the green table. An unexpected setback followed in the second home game against HC Weiden, where they had to take the first defeat. "We also want to give our viewers the first points in terms of sport," said Wilhelm, the hope of a better result.
opponent under pressure
After the HC Gelpe/Strombach recently won a victory against the second representation of 1. FC Kölnerrang, they now meet again for a promoted team. However, Wilhelm warns not to underestimate the Lower Rhine. "The team has been playing together for a long time and successfully cut off in their previous league. They are recorded and have a solid start with 3: 3 points."
The Kempeners also know about their value and recently showed with an away win against Fortuna Cologne that they have to be taken seriously in the league. The league euil has so far been able to assert itself, only against the favorite TV Beyeröhde set a defeat. However, not much is known about the opponent, which prompted Wilhelm to focus on the strengths of his own team.
"We have to interrupt the opponent's game flow and enforce our own way of playing," emphasizes the coach. The stability of the defense is emphasized as one of the most basic concepts: "If we are ready to fight, we will also play a good role against Kempen."
At the same time, the SSV Nümbrecht in the Oberliga expects an unpleasant confrontation with the Pulheimer SC. This encounter also takes place on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Nümbrecht can look at a positive momentum after winning the last two games. Her trainer Martina Duckart is still cautious because the Pulheim women were known as a disturbing opponent in the past. "We are certainly favored, but warned from past experiences," says Duckart.
Nonetheless, the SSV cannot build on the achievements of Sandra and Nadine Fischer, both of which are missing due to injury. Nevertheless, the team continues to strive for a double point win.
hope for the first victory
In another game in the association league, the CVJM Oberwiehl will try to win the first victory of the season if you receive SG Ollheim-Straßfeld. Trainer Thomas Klein is confident that the team can be successful with stable coverage work and effective offensive game.
The teams are determined to confirm their ambitions in the different leagues and to offer exciting encounters for the spectators. These games could be crucial to get the curve in the competition of the regional league and Oberliga.
