Flexible shuttle service for Bergheim: Mobility as desired!

Bergheim, Deutschland - With the brand new "strength dream shuttle", mobility is revolutionized in Bergheim! This innovative shuttle system does not drive according to a fixed timetable or route, but adapts flexibly to the wishes of the passengers. Local transport like never before - according to the motto "à la carte". It is the perfect addition for everyone who has to wait for bus or train, and at the same time protects the environment by avoiding empty journeys and creating trips efficiently.

Soon the citizens of Bergheims can book the shuttle comfortably via the “mobie app” of the REVG. This is only the beginning of an exciting model project that aims to improve mobility for everyone and at the same time reduce operating costs. However, the project is only a component within a larger plan. From 2025, a common platform for on-demand traffic is to be built in cooperation with the transport associations Rhein-Sieg and RevG.

The goals are high: at the end of 2025 all existing booking and information systems should be linked to each other in order to offer users a seamless mobility solution. The strength dream shuttle is the first on this platform. Other municipalities and companies in the Rhenish area are already in the starting blocks in order to become part of this future -oriented transport offer. The test phase starts in Bergheim, followed by the municipalities of Titz and Rommerskirchen, supported by funding from the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport as well as the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. This project could be the key to more flexible and sustainable local transport in the Rhein-Erft district.
