Premiere of the musical Alice: A generational project in Lennestadt!
in Lennestadt, North Rhine-Westphalia, a committed ensemble is preparing for the premiere of the musical "Alice". The staging that takes place in November draws her inspiration from an unexpected moment: Christa-Maria Jürgens, the director, had the idea during a return flight of New York when she saw the film "Alice" with Johnny Depp.
The Choral Youth Grevenbrück and the project choir of the Cantiamo women's choir present this extraordinary piece, which will offer a new interpretation of the popular children's book figure. Jürgens has incorporated her own creative approach to work and created a stage version that respects both the character of the original, as well as fresh, new elements.
diverse talents and generations
The ensemble, a real mix of age and talent, ranges from kindergarten children to a 74-year-old actor. "We rehearse through the generations," explains Jürgens, who feels the diversity of the troop as an enrichment. In weekly rehearsals, the actors come together regularly to rehearse and refine the various aspects of the musical.
A three -person team ensures that every piece of the puzzle is put together to present an impressive end product. Michael Nathen, another important part of the project, emphasizes the community experience that the rehearsals bring with it. "Just a perfect music lesson," he says. The enthusiasm can be felt in each individual of them, as is the tireless use of the costume design team that creates the various clothing and accessories, often inspired by the ideas of Jürgens.
In the history of "Alice", the audience meets many fascinating figures, from the White Queen, played by Hannah Löhr and Greta Friedhoff, to the evil heart queen, represented by Esther Krengel and Monika Dietermann. The crazy hatter is embodied by Klara Seidenstücker and Simon Skrodolis. This variety of actors brings the viewer into the miraculous world of Alice, where every appearance unfolds a new spell.
The performances are set on November 8th at 7 p.m., November 9th at 6 p.m. and November 10th at 5 p.m. in the theater of the city of Lennestadt in Meggen. Tickets are already available and can be purchased in the Wiwowatt in Lennestadt-Altenhundem, which gives the performance an additional charm and local connection.
This piece is not just a highlight for the participants; It also represents an important cultural contribution on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the city of Lennestadt, where the population and the art scene can celebrate together. The anticipation for the premiere is clearly noticeable, and everyone involved hopes for a full series of spectators that take them into their magical world.
