New slide tower in the Panorama Park Kirchhundem: thrill guaranteed!

Kirchhundem. In the picturesque region of the Sauerland, the panorama park will expand its offer with an exciting attraction. In the spring of next year, Germany's largest and highest slide tower is said to be between the trees of the park. This extraordinary addition will be amazed at visitors.

The plans for this gigantic slide tower, which is to be around 27 meters high, include ten slides of a wide variety of kinds, some of which have a length of up to 80 meters. Managing Director Eric Christopher Straube, who has recently taken over the rudder of the park, sees this project as a key event in the further development of the system offer. The tower will also have views platforms that give guests breathtaking views.

The change in the panorama park

The history of the panorama park is characterized by constant changes. He was founded in 1963 by the Schulte-Wrede family before moving into the hands of the French Grévin Group in 2003. This introduced a phase of the standstill, in which large investments were prohibited. It was not until 2018, with the installation of the wave rider, a slow but constant change, which now reaches another highlight with the slide tower.

The new management under Straube brings a breath of fresh air to the system. After five years of work with the Karl's adventure villages, he brings valuable experience into the planning and implementation of new attractions. "It is a unique offer to lead a family park with such a fascinating story," he explains with enthusiasm.

A look into the future

The idea for the slide tower came up two years ago and is now worked out by Straube. "We are working on various designs that reflect the history of the tower," he explains. The foundation for the tower has already been laid and the construction work should begin after the winter months. The managing director hopes that the new attraction can be opened in good time for the 2025 summer season.

In the background, there is also a work on another large project, the "Pirate Camp," which is already planned for 2026. This new area of experience will complement the former attractions of the park and provide further unforgettable moments. Straube emphasizes that his goal is to offer visitors experiences that will be remembered for a long time.

In addition to the development of new attractions, Straube also thinks of smaller measures to increase the attraction of the park. This includes new feeding times for animals as well as a regional and seasonal food range. "It's about creating a sustainable connection to nature," he says, pointing to the chestnuts that can be collected for children to feed the animals.
