Crisis around the Olper Hütte: Trust in Pyramis wanks!
in Olpe is currently sizzling around the Olper Hütte project. Zaklina Marjanovic, the group leader of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, comments on her thoughts on the recent developments, in particular on the withdrawal of Michael Kirchner from the board of the housing association. "The topic will keep us busy for a very long time," she explains, making it illustrate the ongoing uncertainties and challenges that the project brings.
Marjanovic is not surprised by Kirchner's departure, but is skeptical about the exact motives. She suspects that Kirchner wants to devote himself to new projects in southern Germany, possibly to pull out of the difficulties in Olpe at the same time before the situation becomes even more problematic. In their eyes, progress on the site of the Olper Hütte is far too slow. "The beginnings are in 2021, but three years later we are still not much further," the politician is frustrated.
crisis of trust with pyramis
Marjanovic also remains skeptical about pyramis, the real estate developer behind the project. "Her other projects, such as in Drolshagen, ran quite silently, but Rothemühle has caused enormous costs," she says, pointing out to economic inconsistencies that undermine trust in pyramis. Another topic is the financial means provided for the Olper Hütte. Torsten Kaufmann, one of the remaining board members, has already indicated that the funds approved so far will not be sufficient and the city must provide a further grant. Marjanovic underlines: "If there is talk of an additional subsidy, it means that the 400,000 euros that are already planned in the household are not enough."
She estimates Kaufmann's commitment and progress that he has made in the project, but she also sees a critical development: “The idea of creating affordable living space in a central location in Olpe is still good. But the project is becoming more and more expensive, and so far we only speak of the first 16 apartments, although originally 41 were planned. If the costs for these 16 apartments are already so high, what happens at the rest of the Project? ”
Financing on the bracket
The uncertainty is increasing, especially since Marjanovic and her party together with the UCW (independent citizen Olpe) have already indicated that they are not ready to continue the project at all costs. With regard to the coordination in the city parliament planned for December, she indicates that there may be no approval: "We know the majority and assume that the greatest faction will not refuse to consent. But the CDU could also rethink its decisions, in view of the many projects that are still on the agenda - museums, town houses and other editions."
The pressure on the decision -makers grows, since the project not only has to struggle financially, but also politically under the current circumstances. The concerns about non -fulfilled expectations and increasing costs are seriously discussed by the parties concerned, which leads to a more tense mood in the political landscape of Olpes. The further development remains to be seen, and it is uncertain whether the once promising project can meet a positive turn.
