Oberhausen helps Saporishja: Solidarity in times of war!

Saporishja, Ukraine - Oberhausen shows unshakable solidarity with saporishja! Ukraine has been suffering from the brutal war for over 1000 days, and the twin town of Oberhausen is firmly at the side of its Ukrainian friends. In Saporishja, where the air alarms sound daily and the civilian population suffers from constant attacks, the support from Oberhausen is a bright spot in the dark. The people there often have to make do without electricity and heating, while over 200 residential buildings have already fallen victim to the Russian hail of bombing.

Mayor Daniel Schranz confirms: "We are still firmly at the side of our friends in Saporishja." This support is not only practical, but also morally of enormous importance. Viktoriia agientaieva from the city administration of Saporisha emphasizes that people in their city feel that they are not alone. The urban aids and the aid goods transport of the “Oberhausen help” association are perceived as valuable support on site. To appreciate this, Saporishja even set up a “Park of partner cities” and named a road to Oberhausen.

important aid campaigns and support
