On Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 11.11 a.m., the carnival session begins with the opening through Hoppeditz on Friedensplatz. The date was specially prepared to enable more people to participate, because many have a working day the following day. The city prince is crowned on Saturday, November 16, 2024, in the Luise-Albertz-Halle (Düppelstraße 1). There is also another triumvirate under the direction of René Bargatzky, which traditionally works in the Oberhausen carnival courtyard. Two other prince teams are crowned on different days a week, with a special stage in the Heinrich-Heine-Gymnasium on November 23 at 2:45 p.m.

On January 18, 2025, Vincent Gross appears in the Kiefernstraße sports hall (on Haardt 3) and brings a breath of fresh air with his hit "Aperol Spritz". The KG Blau-Gelb Vonders also celebrates its 88-year tradition on this evening and presents a top-class live program with Anna-Carina Woitschack and Achim Petry in the Atrium Hall, whereby the tickets are discounted for this event.

In addition, there is a change in the traditional events. The former men's meeting is now organized by the II. KG Zomkhosi, while the traditional corps "Blue Funken" outputs the "blue-golden women's session". All events promise an entertaining and atmospheric carnival experience for young and old.

A large number of carnival parades are also planned for March 2025, which continues to revitalize the printing of the tie celebrations, as the session takes longer this year. Children's and tulip Sunday trains are of course also on offer and attract a lot of celebrating fools and families.
