Berg Fidel, Münster, Deutschland - The USC Münster suffered a dramatic defeat in the exciting volleyball match against VC Wiesbaden. With 2: 3 (20:25, 25:19, 19:25, 25:15, 7:15), the Münster people again missed the first home win of the current Bundesliga season, but were able to secure a first point on the mountain Fidel. After a mixed start, the players showed a remarkable increase in performance and won the second set, which meant the first set win in the domestic hall.
coach Matthias Pack commented on the game with the words: "It was a constant ups and downs, as we often had in the last games. But at least this time there was fun and also the will to pull the rudder around again." The USC started strongly with Elena KiMümling, who scored two of the first three points right from the start. But despite a promising start and a stable assumption, the team could not win the first set. A crucial mistake by Mikala Mogensen initiated the defeat in the first round, while a net roller ance from Jonna Wasserfaller sealed the mischief.

The encounter took many turns. After a clear deficit in the third set, the USC fought back and managed to win the fourth set with an impressive 25:15. But Wiesbaden was superior in the decisive tie -break. The spectators, a total of 1068, saw an exciting match in which the USC was not rewarded despite all efforts. The best players were Marije Ten Brinke for the USC and Ana-Maija Jonjev for Wiesbaden, both of whom won decisive points for their teams.
The next game of the USC will take place on November 16 against SSC Palmberg Schwerin, where the Münsterers will again try to increase their performance and celebrate the first home win.
