Ombudsman for those in need of care: unbureaucratic help in the district of Mettmann!

In a significant step to improve the rights of those in need of care and their relatives, the district of Mettmann has set up a new ombudsman. This initiative aims to easily clarify conflicts in nursing and care facilities and to offer users and their families a contact point for complaints.

The newly created ombudsman will act as a central point of contact to help Saxony and their relatives with problems such as room occupancy, loss of valuables or contractual issues. The ombuds will act as a neutral intermediary who work independently of the institutions involved and strive for unbureaucratic solutions. Your activity should enable an out -of -court settlement of conflicts between care facilities and their users, which is particularly relieved for the families concerned.

who is being searched?

A total of three ombud pollers are sought for this important service. The allocation is geographically: a person will be responsible for the northern cities of Ratingen, Heiligenhaus and Velbert, another for the cities of Wülfrath, Mettmann, Erkrath and Haan, while the third ombud person is responsible for the southern part of the district, i.e. Hilden, Monheim and Langenfeld. These are voluntary positions for which an annual allowance of 840 euros is provided. The term is three years.

Interested applicants should meet some requirements. Basic knowledge of the living and participation law as well as the residential and care contract law are necessary. Professional experience in the social field, healthcare or social work would be an advantage, as well as a certain level of life. In addition, applicants have to present a certificate of good conduct. The ombud persons are obliged to report the home supervision annually.
