Erkrath starts public transport test month: free tickets for companies!

Unterfeldhaus, Erkrath, Deutschland - Erkrath shines in the new light! As part of the exciting state competition "Ways2Work", the Unterfeldhaus industrial estate is now becoming the setting for an exciting initiative for local companies. From November 18, 2024, three companies that are based in this dynamic area can get a monthly ticket from Rheinbahn AG - and completely free!

These tickets, valid for price level D and thus for the entire VRR area, are not personal and can be used over a period of four weeks. Vincent Endereß, head of the business development agency of the city of Erkrath, emphasizes: "Our offer is aimed at companies with at least five employees in order to test public transport as an attractive form of mobility for the way to work." Especially for returners and new employees, this could be a golden opportunity to find the ideal means of transport.

This is how ticket allocation works!

interested companies have time until November 13th to contact Ways2work@kreis-mettmann.de at the Mettmann district by email. If the demand exceeds the available tickets, the lot decides on the award. "We are excited to see how our offer is accepted. If you are very interested, we could even talk to the Rheinbahn about an extension by 2025," said Matthäus Bialasinski, project manager of the district development funding. A test month by bus and train could make it much easier for many employees to work to work!
