Construction work on Theodor-Heuss-Ring: full closures by January 2025!

In Leverkusen, the technical companies Leverkusen (TBL) announce comprehensive construction work on Theodor-Heuss-Ring. This work that is divided into three phases begin on Monday, October 7th, and should be completed by Friday, January 31, 2025. The focus is on the exchange of the channel, which is of great importance for the city's infrastructure.

The first construction phase begins on October 7th and runs until November 3. During this time, the Theodor Heuss ring between house numbers 76 and 78 is completely blocked. Nevertheless, access for residents of house numbers 78 to 91 is guaranteed, which represents a certain relief for the people living there.

construction phases and road closures

The next phase of the construction work extends until December 15th. During this time, the road between house numbers 78 and 108 and between 78 and 21 is completely blocked. The residents should adapt to an increased impairment of traffic during this time. The residents whose accesses will no longer be directly accessible are affected.

The third section is not spared from the construction work. This is planned for the period from December 16 to January 31, 2025. The Theodor-Heuss-Ring is blocked from the house number 108 to the confluence with Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße, which should also complicate the traffic situation.

In order to ensure traffic steering in the area, diversions are set up via Steinbücheler Straße. Pedestrians have the opportunity to go past the construction site secured, which should increase safety during the construction work.

The need for this extensive work is justified in the exchange of the defective channel. It is important that the channel remains in a perfect condition to ensure smooth wastewater supply. With this measure, the city of Leverkusen aims to improve the infrastructure in the long term and to avoid future problems.

This construction work is an essential part of the urban efforts to increase the quality of life and security of the residents. The city administration asks for understanding of possible inconvenience during the construction phases, which, however, should lead to a better transport infrastructure in the long run.
