Krefeld under noise: 94,800 citizens are fighting against nighttime peace disorder!

In Krefeld, noise pollution is a serious problem! Over 94,800 people are exposed to a noise level of at least 55 decibels during the day, while 64,400 citizens with 50 decibels have to live at night. This is as loud as a normal entertainment - and that means that many Krefeld are surrounded by conversations in their own bedrooms! These alarming numbers come from the brand new noise action plan, which is now available in its fourth update.

The city administration is legally obliged to create a new noise action plan every five years, and now it is time again! The current data show how urgent the situation is. Krefeld's citizens have to ask themselves: How long can we still live in this noise -plagued environment? The new plan is intended to offer solutions to improve the quality of life in the city and to enable the Krefeldern a quieter future.

With the revision of the noise action plan, the city of Krefeld will try to reduce the noise pollution and take measures that benefit the citizens. The city relies on targeted strategies to lower the noise level and offer the creepers a more pleasant living environment.
