The Cologne sharks have taken a crucial step to combat the problems in the German ice hockey league (DEL). On Thursday they signed the Slovak Julius Hudacek as the new goalkeeper. This quick action came just a few hours before the game against the Straubing Tigers and proved to be a real stroke of luck. With a 2-0 victory, the sharks not only celebrated its second win of the season, but at the same time the perfect debut of her new keeper, who immediately came up with a shutout.

The game took place in front of 18,362 spectators in the Cologne arena and was of great importance for the team. In the first five games of the season, the sharks had a total of 25 goals, which brought them to the inaccurate title of the most sustainable team.
