Germany breaks records: 100 new world records this year!

The German record hunters struck a lot in the year of the best performances: 100 new world records were recognized, said Olaf Kuchenbecker, the top judge at the record institute for Germany. This corresponds to the record -breaking numbers from the previous year. Over the entire country, there were numerous creative and sporting challenges that motivated both individuals and families to break unforgettable records, such as Radio Köln reported.

One of the most remarkable records is a family from Rinteln who managed to set up 600 plastic Christmas trees in their home. The Hamburg musician Uli Salm also celebrated an impressive success with his collection of 911 bass guitars, while a woman from Saxony ran over 55 hours on Lake Constance without sleep. Another highlight was the world record for the “longest resuscitation (season)”, which some members of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund set up in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. A 1.6-kilometer-long bicycle snake was formed in Rhineland-Palatinate, which caused a stir, as well as wnoz reported.

creativity knows no limits

The reach of this year's records not only reflects great creative potential, but also shows that more and more people are enthusiastic about “collecting records”. "It has become a little addiction to accept new challenges again and again and test their own limits," said Kuchenbecker. The diversity of these records, from sporting achievements to exceptional collections, impressively demonstrates the commitment and innovative strength of the participants.

The record institute, which celebrated its tenth anniversary in October, has registered around 1,000 world records since then. The previous record year promises to raise the trends in leisure activities and in the competitive spirit to a new level.
