Derilizations in the top division: Record values have been shaking coaches since 2012/13!
Something is brewing in the top division! On the first ten game days of this season, referees pulled the cards as often as they have not been since 2012/13. Statistics show that 29 references were already pronounced this season - this is more than in the whole last season and almost at the same level as then.
A clear preference of the referees for rigorous passion! It is particularly striking that in a direct comparison to the Bundesliga, where the officials have distributed a maximum of 18 references in the same ten games, the Oberliga kickers almost collecting twice. This development leads to heated discussions among the trainers. Umut Akpinar, coach of the 1. FC Kleve, who has so far been spared space references, notes: "It is a topic that concerns us all." He warns his players to be caution when he feels that the referee could whistle hardener.

After a controversial dismissal in the match against SV Sonsbeck, the coach Heinrich Losing was deeply disappointed: "That was ridiculous. If the referees were always like this, we would need a squad of 30 players." It seems like the cards are truly relaxed this season. Christian Dorda, coach of Ratingen 04/19, expressed his lack of understanding: "There are far too many red cards that are apparently very relaxed." His team was punished due to a player's controversial emergency brake. Dorda stated that it was not the intention of his player to hurt the opponent.
The referee decisions ensure an explosive situation in the top division that keep more and more coaches and players busy. How the situation will develop remains to be seen - the voltage is within reach!
