Kreis Kleve, Deutschland - The Rotaric Advent calendar for 2024 is now available and promises an exciting pre -Christmas period again. Published by the Rotary Clubs Kleve Schloss Moyland, Kevelaer and Geldern, the calendar is sold in a circulation of 4000 pieces at a price of ten euros. It is available in numerous shops in the Kleve district. Last year, around 30,000 euros were donated for social purposes thanks to the sale, which indicates the popularity and success of this project.

From December 1st, the raffle starts, in which six to eight attractive prices worth at least 100 euros each wait a day. Behind the 24 doors are vouchers for cash prices, material gifts as well as savings and consumption vouchers. Each calendar is provided with an individual lot number, which enables the owners to take part in the raffle, the results of which are announced both online and on the radio. All profits can be redeemed in the respective shops by January 31, 2025, which further increases the anticipation for the holidays.

The proceeds from the sale of the advent calendar benefit a wide variety of social projects. These include the support of “tables” in the north circle and in Kevelaer as well as the promotion of the children's palliative team Sternenboat from the University Hospital Düsseldorf. In addition, the child protection outpatient clinic Geldern is part of the recipients, as is an initiative in favor of children in Benin who suffer from limb misalignment. In addition, a certain amount is invested in the construction of a school in a developing country and there is also a sum for current emergency situations.

The design of the calendar took over the renowned Lower Rhine painter and graphic artist Manuel Brüx, who presented the cities and municipalities of the district in an original way in the form of stamps. This gives the calendar a special artistic touch and makes it a unique collector's item.

The sales outlets for the calendar are versatile and include the Sparkasse Rhein-Maas with all branches, the Hintzen bookshop in Kleve, the Hagebaumarkt Swertz in Kleve and Goch and the Thalia bookstore in Kleve. In addition, the Bremer garden and feed market in Bedburg-Hau, the lights Lukassen in Bedburg-Hau, the Moyland Info-Center and the Mayersche Buchhandlung Völcker in Goch are included.
