Large oil track in Goch: Fire brigade fights for hours against contamination!
Goch. An unpleasant incident occurred on Thursday morning, October 10, in Goch city center. A kilometer long oil and diesel lane that extended to the Uedem municipal area required a large-scale use of the fire brigade.
The Goch volunteer fire brigade was used for over two and a half hours to overturn the dangerous contamination. The affected route lasted through important areas of the city center and thus brought potential dangers for traffic safety.
emergency services and measures
In this commitment, not only the firefighters from Goch were active, but also the fire brigade from Uedem and the municipal company of the city of Goch. We are talking about a total of 500 kilograms of oil binder, which was distributed on the dirty streets. This special mixture helps to absorb oil and fuels and make the streets accessible again as quickly as possible.
The reason for the massive contamination was a defective tank of an bus, which gave the harmful liquids unhindered. Such incidents are not only annoying, but also dangerous for all road users. The rapid reaction of the emergency services was able to prevent worse things, but this incident again shows the importance of a well -functioning emergency routine in urban areas.
According to the fire brigade, the assignment was quickly coordinated. Nevertheless, it shows how important it is to be well prepared in apparently small missions. During the measures, the streets in the affected areas were difficult to pass, which resulted in additional traffic disruptions. However, the quick removal of the source of danger should also calm down the residents and business people who live and work in the city center.
