Sauerlandbad opens again: Renovation starts, but the pelvis is waiting!

The Sauerlandbad in Bad Fredeburg has gratifying news for all swimming enthusiasts: From October 14, 2024, the bathroom will open its doors again, even if initially only to a limited extent. After intensive renovation and renovation work, visitors can access certain areas, while others are still in the renovation phase.

The reopening is connected to partial operation. In an official notification of the Sauerland bathroom, it is noted that areas such as the adventure pool, the outdoor pool, whirlpools, the slides, the Kneipp pedal pool and the entire sauna area will be available without restrictions. Changes to the opening times are also planned: Mondays to Fridays can come to the bathroom from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

extensive renovation work

The extensive renovation of the Sauerland bathroom costs around 1.85 million euros. A central element of the renovation is the renewal of the Varienbecken, which is equipped with a lifting floor to improve the user experience. The children's area is also modernized, in particular the water technology, to ensure security and pleasure for the little guests.

In addition, the steam bath is renewed to increase the attractiveness of the bath. Further embellishment, such as renovations of the walls in the entrance area and the swimming pool, should create a more pleasant ambience. The exchange of platform lift and water pumps is also on the agenda.
