Herne celebrates autumn holidays: exciting promotions for children and adolescents!

The city of Herne published the autumn holiday program 2024 for children and young people with great anticipation. From October 14th to October 25th, young people can experience an exciting and varied time in the various facilities. This initiative offers numerous activities that are tailored to the needs and interests of children between six and twelve years and young people aged 13 and over.

To celebrate the start of the holidays properly, a big autumn holiday start party will take place on Friday, October 11, 2024 in the Pluto district center. All children and adolescents are invited to celebrate the start of the holidays with entertaining hands -on activities, snacks and music. The party is organized by the youth promotion of the city of Herne and is part of the future package that aims to offer children and young people special experiences.

week of democracy in Herne

In the second week of the holiday, the week of democracy is carried out in all children's and youth facilities in the city. This week offers a unique opportunity to promote understanding of democratic values. Six workshops that take place in various urban institutions aim to actively involve children and young people in the topics of democracy and participation in the citizens. On Friday, October 25, 2024, the week will be celebrated with a final festival, which will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. in the H2Ö district center, Hölkeskampring 2.
