Krefeld, Deutschland - In a dramatic use, the main customs office Krefeld targeted the freight forwarding and logistics industry on November 12, 2024! Together with the state police and the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM), extensive controls were carried out at several control points in Krefeld, Mönchengladbach and the Rhein-Kreis Neuss. The aim was to uncover violations of social security obligations, the minimum wage and illegal employment. The results are frightening!

A total of 159 people were checked, and the first results show alarming violations: Nine suspected cases of perseverance from work were found, since employees were apparently not registered for social security. In addition, there were 15 employers' immediate reports and suspected a minimum wage violation. Two people were targeted due to alleged abuse of performance, while two more were arrested without valid work or residence permit. These people were immediately handed over to the immigration office!

Another shock: At a checkpoint in Mönchengladbach, a person who was already searched by an arrest warrant was arrested! The state police, which worked with the authorities from Krefeld, Mönchengladbach and Düsseldorf, initiated numerous administrative offenses for violations of load security.
