Colorful lanterns illuminate the district of Heinsberg: Martin trains 2023!

The magical time of the Martins trains has started! In the next two weeks, the district of Heinsberg illuminates with colorful lanterns, which have been lovingly handcrafted by children. Whether kindergarten, fire brigade or local clubs - everyone tackled to keep this wonderful tradition alive. The festive moves take place in numerous communities, and the first lantern bearers are already on the go to touch the hearts of the audience!

In Heinsberg it really starts on November 9th: The Martinszug in Aphoven starts at 5:30 p.m. at the community center. The small lantern macaders of the Laffeld kindergarten start on November 7th at 6 p.m. Dremmen, Erpen and Eschweiler are also on the list of trains that illuminate the streets on November 8 and 12. The big and small participants meet at the respective meeting points and move through the streets together to keep the history of St. Martin alive.

Martins trains in Geilenkirchen and the surrounding area

In Geilenkirchen the lanterns also shine! The Martins train at the Teveren primary school starts on November 6th at 6 p.m. It will also be festive on November 7th in the abdominal and gaurichen, while the St. Martinus shooters celebrate a lantern festival in Süggerath on November 8th. The children are singing through the streets and the preparations are in full swing - it will be an unforgettable experience!

In Wassenberg the small lantern bearers on November 9 from 5:30 p.m. from the Birgelen Catholic school. The tradition is also continued in Hückelhoven, Erkelenz and Wegberg. The anticipation is great and the citizens can look forward to numerous wonderful moves that illuminate the darkness of the autumn evenings.
