Bernd Maßmann moves to Hagen: HAMMER HR manager takes stock
A dramatic change in the administration of Hamm: Bernd Maßmann, the long -time HR will leave the city and will be treasurer in Hagen from December 1st! The Council in Hagen unanimously decided on Thursday to appoint the 55-year-old for at least eight years. Maßmann, a Christian Democrat, will take responsibility for finances in the city and thus brings a breath of fresh air to the administration.
The decision marks the end of a turbulent time for Maßmann in Hamm. In the course of the "Phantom" investigation, which was initiated against him due to a suspected embezzlement of around 200,000 euros in state funding, he had been targeted by the public prosecutor. Although a suspension procedure was initiated by Mayor Marc Herter, the Münster Administrative Court collected this and temporarily used Maßmann as a digital boss. But this solution was not permanent and was considered not an office.
Investigations set - Maßmann's future in Hagen
In June 2024, the public prosecutor finally hired the investigation against Maßmann, as there was no sufficient suspicion. The search for a new position for the high -ranking official in Hamm was then intensified. Rumors said that Maßmann could play an important role in the municipal job center (KJC). But with his move to Hagen, this option is now off the table. The future of the board position in the KJC is now in the hands of the board of directors, while Maßmann is preparing for his new challenge in Hagen.
