Gigantic construction site in Gütersloh: Brockhäger Straße becomes a Staufenfalle!

Gütersloh, Deutschland - Gütersloh stands in front of a huge construction site! From January 2024, the heavily frequented Brockhäger Straße will become a large construction site for a full 16 months. The city administration has announced further details of the comprehensive renovation at a citizens' meeting. This work not only includes the renewal of channels and supply lines, but also the complete blocking of the road towards the city center. The diversion takes place in a large scale via Harsewinkel/Marienfeld and Holler Straße/Münsterfeldstraße. The costs for the ambitious project amount to around three million euros, whereby parts of this sum are funded by the state, such as radiogueterloh.de reported.

In addition, the city of Gütersloh will also be active on another front: On October 24, an information event on development plan No. 324 takes place. New residential buildings are to be built here in the Isselhorster Straße / An der Brede area. The aim is to build six two -storey houses on an area currently used as a meadow. With this step, urban planning would like to ensure the development of the entire area. At this event, which begins at 7 p.m. in the council hall of the town hall, the citizens have the opportunity to ask questions and express their opinions. Further details about this development and the development plan can be read on the website of the city planning of Gütersloh, as from guetersloh.de reported.
