Charitable huts on the Herne Christmas market: Apply now!
Charitable huts on the Herne Christmas market: Apply now!
In the contemplative pre -Christmas period, the popular charitable huts are on the program again in Herne. Together with the ASB regional association Herne Gelsenkirchen, the city marketing Herne will again support numerous local non -profit organizations this year. Due to an upcoming renovation of the Robert Brauner-Platz, the location of the huts will be relocated-they are newly located at the height of "Blume 2000" and "Wolsdorff" at Bahnhofstrasse 52. The registrations for the huts are already underway, the period ends on Monday, October 21st.
The charitable huts are a tradition that has existed for over ten years and enriches the Christmas market in downtown Herner. There, various clubs and institutions sell handmade Christmas decorations, woodwork, artistic postcards and the popular hand -knitted socks, which are particularly in demand in the cold season. The event not only offers a market for creative products, but also the opportunity for the organizations to get into conversation with the visitors and to inform about their work. Last year, a total of 17 different organizations were able to take part in the event, and the feedback was consistently positive.
First registrations and invitation to new participants
The interest in the charitable huts is great. The first applications have already been received in city marketing. Organizations who had participated in previous years or expressed interest were invited to apply at the beginning of October. "We are particularly pleased about new registrations," emphasizes Tina Dzierla, who is responsible for the Christmas market as a project manager. "It is important to us to have a colorful cross -section of Herne organizations who want to present their work and special offers." The application period ends on October 21, and registrations can be submitted informally.
conditions and costs of participation
Participation in the charitable huts is associated with a provision fee of 15 euros per rental day plus VAT. This fee includes the use of one of the 2 × 3 square meters of huts and the heating costs. The electricity costs are covered by city marketing. An important prerequisite is that the huts are occupied during the opening hours of the Christmas market - Monday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to at least 7 p.m. Even before the regular opening times, the huts can be opened from Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. and until 10 p.m.
Overall, city marketing provides at least 28 appointments, and if there is sufficient interest, up to 62 appointments if a second hut can be operated. "The Fridays and Saturdays are particularly in demand," said Dzierla. Applications for the days of the week therefore have better chances of the desired date. If a date is in demand, the lot decides on the award.

For the Herne organizations, this is an important opportunity to present themselves and at the same time make a contribution to charitable purposes. This tradition shows how the community comes together during Christmas and supports each other to create a contemplative atmosphere. The charitable huts are therefore not only a market, but also a sign of solidarity and togetherness in the city.
