Minister of Culture Claudia Roth called on the more than 800 delegates to lead a "bright green" election campaign that will take place "in wind, weather, ice and snow".

The focus of the party conference is ten applications that support the basis of the Greens. These include, among other things, the reintroduction of a wealth tax, the demand for a speed limit and a more liberal migration policy. An application that rejects current inpatient controls at the German land borders is particularly controversial. The delegates showed solidarity with Ukraine and the fight against the Russian attack war. A delegate who did not feel threatened, but met with little approval. The co-boss of the Green Youth, Jette Nietzard, criticized the asylum law enhancements and expressed himself sharply against the CDU boss Friedrich Merz. The party congress is intended to develop a concise program for the Bundestag election, whereby the delegates are supposed to come together in full strength on January 26th.
