FCM on promotion course: Titz team wants to expand away strength!
Münster, Deutschland - The 1st FC Magdeburg is ready to cause a sensation in the 2nd Bundesliga! With impressive 16 points from seven away games, you are the second best away team in the league. Trainer Christian Titz has big plans to further expand this balance against the promoted Prussian Münster. The opponent has established himself in the league and finally scored regularly, including a win against Düsseldorf and draw against Karlsruhe and Darmstadt. The Westphalia have proven to be defensively and hardly allow goals!
tactical finesse and dangerous standards
Titz warns of the tactical variability of the Münster. "Münster has already shown two faces," he explains. Against Cologne they played with a lot of possession of the ball, while they stood deep in Darmstadt and lurked on counterattacks. In particular, the standard situations, such as corners and width, are worried. Magdeburg has to adjust to an opponent who is both offensive and defensive!
speed as a key to success
After personnel problems, Titz can now aggressively "draw out of the full". He expects his team to play quickly to avoid the offside trap of the Prussians. "We have to create overpayment situations by quickly moving the pages," says Titz. With 1,250 fans who traveled in their luggage, the elderly Prussian Stadium, which only holds 12,422 spectators, is sold out. It will be a special game for Captain Dominik Reimann because he competes in his hometown, even if he never played for the Prussians. A good omen for the FCM: In the last eleven top games of the 2nd Bundesliga there was only one home win-the guests cheered five times over a threesome!
