On January 7, 2025, TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen defeated 1. FC Saarbrücken 3-1 in the Bundesliga table tennis (TTBL). The encounter took place as part of the 12th match day in the Dr. Hans Liebherr-Sporthalle and was followed by 420 spectators. This was the second success within two days against the team from Saarbrücken, after Ochsenhausen had previously won the Liebherr Cup in 2025 3-1.
The game was as follows: Shunsuke Togami, who is considered a man of the game, opened the competition with a narrow 3-2 victory over Darko Jorgic. In the second single, Eduard Ionescu equalized for Saarbrücken with a 3-1 against Tiago Abiodun. However, Simon Gauzy brought Ochsenhausen back into the lead with another narrow 3-2 win against Patrick Franziska. In the last single, Togami Ionescu defeated 3-0 in a re-match, which secured the final score of 3: 1 for Ochsenhausen.

The line -up of the two teams was as follows: Ochsenhausen competed without Hugo Calderano, who only worked as a supporter from the bank. The TTF list consisted of Shunsuke Togami, Tiago Abiodun and Simon Gauzy, while Saarbrücken with Eduard Ionescu, Darko Jorgic and Patrick Franziska. Coach Bogdan Pugna headed the Ochsenhausen team, while Saarbrücken's coach Wang Zhi was ill at short notice.

With this result, Ochsenhausen consolidated its third place in the table with 16: 8 points, while Saarbrücken slipped into eighth place with 12:12 points. The next games for Ochsenhausen will be against TTC Fulda-Maberzell on January 12th and on January 18 against Borussia Dortmund.
Shunsuke Togami proudly commented on the victory after the match and emphasized that success was dedicated to domestic fans. Kristijan Pejinovic, President of the TTF, emphasized that the head was decisive in this game because the legs of both teams were difficult.
