Dortmund's football catastrophe: stock falls at the deepest level since 2013!
The Situation at Borussia Dortmund is critical! The Bundesliga club currently occupies the 9th place and, after an unexpected 2: 4 defeat against Holstein Kiel, went on a sporting descent. This not only causes unrest among fans, but also shocked the shareholders of the association. The share of the football team fell to an alarming daily low of 2.78 euros on Wednesday and currently noted at only EUR 2.92 - the deepest stood since 2013, like the Handelsblatt reported.
The BVB share price has dramatically reduced since the start of the stock market in 2000, when it was still 9.61 euros. The association's stock exchange assessment is currently only 345 million euros, while the weakly playing Manchester United, namely 861.6 million euros, reaches. The reason for this drop in the course is closely related to the sporting performance; Dortmund has difficulty reaching the coveted Champions League places that are of great financial importance for the association. The entry fee for the Champions League alone amounts to over 18 million euros per participant, and the total income last season was over 120 million euros, which corresponds to about a quarter of the annual turnover, as from the figures of the Handelsblatts .
