Smoke -free into the new school year: Coesfeld schools fight together!

An urgent call sounds from the Coesfeld district! Schools in the district are sensationally invited to take part in the gripping non -smoking competition "Be Smart - Don’t Start". The AOK is committed to ensuring that sixth to eighth classes are eagerly applying. It starts on November 11th - so being fast is the order of the day so that everyone has the chance to be there!

The rules are clear and demand discipline: In order to win, at least 90 percent of a class must enter into the contract to live completely smoke -free for a whole six months! Cigarettes, e-cigarettes, Shishas and all other forms of tobacco and nicotine remain taboo! This is the only way to jump into the exciting race - because every class that does not reach this number is immediately eliminated from the competition. The goal? Children and adolescents convince not to start smoking! Because conflicts about nicotine are not only harmful to health, they also have devastating consequences for our environment and the climate! The extension, production, transport to the garbage - everything is extremely stressful by our earth!

The response from the last school year was overwhelming: Around 7,000 schools from all over Germany took part, including almost 1000 classes from Westphalia-Lippe!
