Rifle associations in Gronau and Epe: Preparations for 2025!

On January 11, 2025, representatives of the shooting clubs in Gronau and Epe met for their traditional Epiphany meeting. The event to which the Bürgerschützengilde Gronau had invited took place in the Concordia restaurant on Eper Strasse. Mayor Rob van de Louw welcomed numerous representatives of the participating clubs, including the Bürgerschützengilde Gronau, Schöttelkotterhook, Tiekerhook, Ess page and the Rentenburgers.

The focus of the meeting was the planned shooting festivals of the coming season and innovations within the clubs. Martin Dust from the St. Georgi Epe citizens' guild was introduced as the new president and read the protocol of the past year. Rainer Doetkotte, chairman of the shooting club Brook-Spechtholtshook, thanked for the congratulations and participation in the anniversary of his club in June.

President Martin Kleinfeld also reported on the preparations for the city rifle festival, which will take place on August 29 and 30. The young shooters start on Friday with their own shooting, followed by a parade to the Bürgerhalle on Saturday. Music bands and playmates will accompany the festival, while shooting for the title of the sixth city emperor is another highlight.
