Drama in Borken: Skurios Volleys fight for victory after deficiency!

Borken, Deutschland - Borken | In a breathtaking volleyball thriller, the Skurios Volleys defeated TV Dingolfing 3-2 on Saturday evening and thus defended their second place in the 2nd Bundesliga Pro. In front of 700 enthusiastic spectators in the Mergelsberg sports hall, the fans experienced a game full of drama and thrill, which ended after 132 minutes and an exciting fifth set. With this victory, the Skurios Volleys have been undefeated for five games.

The start to the game was anything but promising for the hosts. The Skurios Volleys did not find their usual powerful game and lost the first two sets with 22:25. Trainer Danuta Brinkmann tried to get a fresh wind into the team with a change, but the pressure from Dingolfing was too strong. "In the beginning we were totally nervous," admitted Brinkmann. But the turn came in the third sentence: driven by the loud fans, who provided a rousing atmosphere, the Kurios volleys found back into play and won the set with 25:22.

In the fourth sentence, the Borkeners showed nerves again, fell 3: 9 behind. But they mobilized their strength and fought back, won this sentence and equalized to 2: 2.
