Weapons ban at train stations: Safety for Christmas travelers in Bonn!
Weapons ban at train stations: Safety for Christmas travelers in Bonn!
The federal police decided: From Friday, November 15th, the train stations in Siegburg/Bonn and Bonn Central Station are declared weapons ban zones! This measure is intended to drastically increase security in pre -Christmas travel and applies until December 23, midnight. During this time, carrying out dangerous objects, including firing, cutting and shock weapons such as knives and pistols, is strictly prohibited. Air pressure and CO₂ weapons also fall under this ban!
The decision to transform the train stations into an weapon ban zone is no coincidence. The federal police want to suffocate potential dangers in the bud at the highly frequented train stations, which serve as access to the popular Christmas markets. Violent offenses are a serious problem that cannot be ignored in the Bonn/Rhein-Sieg region. The crime rate is alarming, and the number of violent offenses on rail systems in North Rhine-Westphalia continues to increase!
strict controls and consequences
travelers have to adjust to increased controls! The federal police will thoroughly check bags and luggage to ensure that nobody violates the ban on carrying out. If you do not stick to the rules, you have to expect serious consequences: references, station bans or even compulsory money are possible punishments. Violations of the weapons law can also have criminal consequences!
These measures are a clear call for security! The train stations should act as a "danger filter" to ensure the safety of travelers and order during the festive season. The federal police have the Situation in view and will do everything to guarantee security at these important traffic hubs!
