Beer expert Jutta Knoll: The unknown becomes a master!

In Bonn there is a real beer star! Jutta Knoll, 52 years old, enthusiastically as a beer sommelière and has secured the title of the German champion! At the German Championship in Munich, she impressed with her extensive knowledge and fine feeling for flavors. She sent 39 competitors to the places and conquered the jury with a blind tasting that nobody will forget so quickly. No wonder that she is now preparing for the World Cup next year!

Knoll is not the typical beer drinker. It invites you to tasting and presents a colorful range of beers, ranging from a malt dark from the Eifel to lively raspberry beer from Bonn. With a smile she smells of a glass and announces: "I smell mango, Maracuja, pineapple - but there is nothing in it! It's the hops that is responsible for such flavors!" Knoll developed her passion for beer late, at the age of 40, when she and her husband experimented with brewing beer. The fascination for the diversity and intensity of the tastes could not go.

The career of the beer expert

The step into the industry was bold. Knoll developed into a beer ambassador to the IHK and later completed her training as a beer sommelière at the renowned DOEMENS Akademie in Munich. The path was rocky, because at the beginning it had to make a name for herself. But the Corona pandemic gave her career the necessary momentum! The demand for domestic tastings exploded and she started her business by sending beer packages and virtually offering the tastings. Who would have thought that a simple hobby would lead to such a triumph?
