Fire drama in Remscheid: 96-year-old seriously injured from old people's home!

Remscheid. On Monday to Monday, a devastating fire broke out in Hackenberger Straße, which was seriously injured. The flames blazed in their room when the fire alarm system beat the alarm and the fire brigade was alerted at 11:18 p.m. Thanks to the quick intervention of the emergency services, the woman was saved from the burning space and transported to a Bochum special clinic.

The fire brigade moved in with a large contingent of 30 emergency services and 12 vehicles. While the rescuers got the injured woman out of the black smoke, four teams explored the surroundings with respiratory protection devices and fought the fire. Fortunately, seven other residents of the affected hall were brought to safety unharmed. The fast reaction of the fire brigade and the functioning fire alarm system thus prevented a potential catastrophe.

Fast rescue of the residents

The intact residents were brought to other parts of the building by an emergency doctor after the sighting, while the station in which the fire broke out was not habitable for the time being. Emergency chaplains were ready to offer the shocked residents and staff support. This dramatic night has once again shown how important functioning security systems and quick action are to save human life.
