FC Bayern sweeps VfL Bochum 5-0 and stays at the top!
Bayern Munich delivered an impressive show in the Bundesliga and defended the league lead against VfL Bochum with a clear 5: 0! After a sluggish start, the Munich team pulled all the stops and ensured an offensive gala that tore the fans out of their seats. In the first half, Michael Oliseh set the course with a sensational free kick (16th minute), followed by a header from Jamal Musiala (26th minute).
Bavaria also showed his class in the second half. Harry Kane continued his impressive form and shot 3-0 in the 57th minute. Leroy Sané followed a full 60 seconds later with a fantastic Schlenzer - the stadium cooked! Kingsley Coman also did not let himself be ripped off and scored the fifth goal (71st minute) and rounded off a perfect performance. VfL Bochum, on the other hand, remains with just one point at the end of the table-a more than disappointing record for the blue-whites.
Bochum's fighting spirit against Bavaria
Although Bochum sensed some chances in the first half, including an almost converted attack by Moritz Broschinski, it was simply not enough for VfL! Interim coach Markus Feldhoff recognized the increase in performance of his players, but remained disappointed with the implementation of standards: "With standards, we would have to get better." Bayern, on the other hand, prove again that even with difficult opponents they only have to be challenged by their own standard situations in order to expire at the top.
The Munichers now have a total of 20 points and find themselves at the top of the table, while Bochum has to compete in Frankfurt on match day 9. Meanwhile, Bavaria will go hunting points against Union Berlin to continue their winning streak!
