Car thieves in Hilden and Ratingen caught: Police strike!

Mettmann, Deutschland - The police struck after a wave of car theft in Hilden and Ratingen! Several suspects were caught, as the police and the Düsseldorf public prosecutor said. A total of 15 stolen vehicles could be secured in a large -scale use. In Bochum and Witten, three young men between the ages of 19 and 22 were arrested, who are involved in at least nine thefts. The investigators now check whether the trio is still responsible for other acts. The thieves' stitch was perfidious: they broke out locker in gyms, stole the car keys and disappeared with the vehicles to resell them profitably.

Electrification of the Regiobahn

Another exciting progress is imminent: the Mettmann regibo railway is electrified! In a meeting in the town hall, the schedule for the changeover from diesel to electricity was presented. From December, trees and shrubs will be removed along the route between Wuppertal and Kaarst, followed by a search for possible world war bombs. From March 2025, 560 masts will be set up for the new power lines - up to 15 a day! Then the power lines are installed and some platforms are brought to a uniform height. A big step into the future of mobility!

Another highlight in the Mettmann district is the “Mobile Savior” project, which has been active for four years now. Over 700 volunteers have registered and saved human lives in more than 2,400 missions. When emergency calls to cardiovascular homes or unconsciousness, not only the emergency services are alerted, but also the mobile rescuers via an app. These can immediately rush to the site and take life -saving measures until the professional emergency service arrives. An impressive example of civic engagement!
