The Autobahn-Gesellschaft Westfalen announced that the traffic is expected to flow again in both directions until the second weekend in December-provided the weather plays along. The still outstanding work, in particular the lane marking, are very weather -dependent. The director of the Westphalia motorway, Elfriede Sauerwein-Braksiek, explained that the massive earthworks were underestimated in front of and behind the bridge. "I'm sorry that we come to the Christmas business with it," said Sauerwein-Braksiek.

Originally, a blocking period of 15 weeks was planned, but working on the new bridge was well on schedule. The detour via the A448 has proven itself so far, and the construction work is pushed a day from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m. Drivers have to continue to be patient, while the construction work is in full swing!
