Hansa Rostock before the big showdown: general meeting and game!
Rostock, Deutschland - Rostock - An exciting weekend stands in front of the members of the F.C. Hansa Rostock! This Saturday, November 23, at 2 p.m., the Baltic Sea Stadium against Arminia Bielefeld is going. But that's just the start! On Sunday, November 24th, there are two important general meetings in the town hall on the agenda. The annual general meeting begins at 11 a.m., followed by an extraordinary meeting at 5 p.m., in which the remaining supervisory boards are elected. The anticipation is great and the members are looking forward to developments.
board under pressure
With 28,000 members, the F.C. Hansa Rostock well positioned, but the mood could be heated. The descent from the 2nd Bundesliga and the impending danger of a further relegation to the regional league cause unrest. Sports director Amir Shapourzadeh is faced with the challenge of convincing the members of the squad composition and the dismissal of coach Bernd Hollerbach. Positive: the financial means are available, the war treasury is filled.
election of the supervisory board
The most exciting part of Sunday will be the election of the Supervisory Board. A total of 15 candidates apply for three places. Among them stands out Rolf Elgeti, who saved the club with 20 million euros from bankruptcy almost ten years ago. He is the first to apply for an office in the club and he is given good chances. Other candidates include John Alms, Toni Brüggert and Prof. Dr. Mario Hensel. The members only have three hours to give their votes before the town hall is converted for the "Holiday on Ice" event. A race against the time that provides a lot of thrills!
