Volleyball cracker: SC Potsdam receives USC Münster in the annual final!

On December 26, 2024, SC Potsdam is in fourth place in the Volleyball Bundesliga. The team showed impressive performance in the current competition and achieved the semi-finals in the DVV Cup. In addition, there is the possibility to move into the semi -finals of a European competition for the first time in the CEV Challenge Cup.

On December 29, 2024, SC Potsdam will play a championship home game against USC Münster at 4:30 p.m. (live on Dyn). In the previous meeting on October 26, 2024, Potsdam was able to record a clear 3-0 victory against the USC Münster (25:11, 25:21, 25:22). The USC Münster is currently taking eighth place in the Bundesliga table with nine points from twelve games.

Current developments at USC Münster

The USC Münster recently won an away win against Aachen 3: 2 (32:30, 22:25, 23:25, 25:22, 15:10). Just three days later, they also won 3: 0 (25:16, 25:20, 27:25) against the Ladies in Black and thus made it into the DVV Cup final. This is the first finals for Münster after 19 years. Managing Director Eugen Benzel said optimistically about the upcoming home game and the support of domestic fans.

As part of the DVV Cup, the Dresdner SC won 3-2 in the semi-finals against SC Potsdam. The game took place in the MBS Arena in Potsdam and ended with the sentences 21:25, 25:21, 23:25, 25:22 and 15:11. The coach of Dresdner SC, Alexander Waibl, saw his team as a favorite for this duel based on a strong seasonal performance.

With the move into the final on the other side of the Bracket, USC Münster now meets the Dresdner SC. The final will take place on March 2, 2025 in Mannheim.
