From January to February 2025 it is time again: The Schulkinowochen NRW take place for the 18th time, and schools can now register for the largest film educational project in the country. From January 23 to February 5, around 100 films are on the program, which are not only entertaining, but are also linked to curricula. The program includes exciting topics such as "Extreme Ways - Radicalization of Young People in Film" and "Future Energy", which is highlighted in the context of the science year 2025. This approach shows how the cinema can be used to impart values and techniques that create space for discourses and strengthen the media literacy of young people. Preschool children also get their money's worth, with special short film programs for the "magic of animation" or "water worlds" that make the first visit to the cinema a special experience.

In addition, the participants can participate in a Film criticism competition , in which the best work can win prices for the entire school class.
