diverse topics and offers
The school cinema oaks offer a wide range of additional events, including seminars for film analysis and discussions with filmmakers. The program includes exciting topics such as "Extreme Ways - Radicalization of Young People in Film" and "Future Energy", which is highlighted in the context of the science year 2025. This approach shows how the cinema can be used to impart values and techniques that create space for discourses and strengthen the media literacy of young people. Preschool children also get their money's worth, with special short film programs for the "magic of animation" or "water worlds" that make the first visit to the cinema a special experience.
In addition, the participants can participate in a Film criticism competition , in which the best work can win prices for the entire school class. From Essen to Cologne, from Aachen to Wuppertal-about 130 cinemas throughout North Rhine-Westphalia are part of this fantastic project, which not only maintains but also forms. Registrations are now possible, and further information can be found on the website of the school cinema oachs NRW.
