Terrible accident on A4: rescue helicopter in action because of an infant!
Dramatic chaos on the A4 motorway near Aachen! A car skidded due to standing water and crashed into the guardrail. This was the start of a chain reaction: a second car was involved in the accident, and a truck failed to brake in time, leading to further collisions. The highway turned into an accident scene!
Rescue helicopter in action!
In this terrible incident, four people were slightly injured, including an infant! A rescue helicopter was immediately requested to provide assistance as quickly as possible. All injured people are now being examined in hospital. The situation is serious and the rescue workers are on constant duty!
Motorway closed – when does it continue?
The cause of the standing water? An overflowing rain catchment basin next to the highway! Parts of the road remain flooded and the A4 towards Cologne remains closed for the time being. It is uncertain when the road will be reopened. Drivers have to be prepared for long waiting times!
