Aachen's dirty corners: where garbage and noise shape the cityscape!
Aachen, Deutschland - garbage, exhaust gas and noise
in Aachen, a city full of history and charm, there are also dark corners that you should rather avoid. While the Aachen Cathedral and the picturesque alleys attract tourists, there are places that give visitors a queasy feeling. The dirtiest places in the city are now unveiled and the reports are anything but flattering!
The Rothe Earth train station, the oldest train station in Aachen, has developed into a place of terror despite repeated renovations. With a lean Google rating of three out of five stars, users of disgusting conditions report: "The spit stains have been in the elevator for seven months!" And "the garbage cans are always overcrowded." The stench of urine and the general lack of cleanliness make this train station a place that you prefer to leave quickly.
Not only the train station is affected
The Aachener Bushof, the central hub for bus traffic, does not cut off much better with 3.1 out of five stars. "The most hideous bus station I have ever seen!" - This is the devastating comments. Everywhere it smells of urine and the floor is dirty. The dark atmosphere scares many, and even during the day it is not a place where you feel comfortable. Even the main train station is criticized and is referred to as "hole", with similar symptoms about garbage and missing toilets after 10 p.m.
Another place that is not exactly known for its cleanliness is Kaiserplatz. Here the problem of homelessness and the drug scene becomes clear. The user reviews of the Church of St. Adalbert nearby speak volumes: "The environment is a nightmare, everywhere dirt, garbage and faeces." Wilhelmstraße and Adalbertsteinweg are also affected, where the EU limit values for exhaust gas emissions are regularly exceeded. Aachen has a serious problem with its dirtiest places!
