Niesky remains with old property tax rates - what's coming in 2025?

Niesky. In the city council of Niesky, an important decision was made on Monday: The lifting rates for property tax A and B remain unchanged! A unanimous decision of the city councils ensures that property tax A for agricultural areas remains 335 of a hundred and property tax B for building land at 440 out of a hundred. This decision is decisive within the framework of the nationwide property tax reform, which will come into force from next year.

The urban combing made it clear that only 60 percent of the new tax notices for Niesky and the associated districts are recorded. This means that the city has to wait for reliable figures before making a well -founded statement about the new property tax calculation. Due to these uncertainties, it was decided to maintain the existing lifting rates. However, there should be concrete figures for 2025, because the first new tax notices are already due at the end of February.

Financial consequences at a glance

treasurer Stefanie Barth warns: An adaptation of the lifting rates could be inevitable next year! The tendency points upwards and the financial effects of the property tax reform are not yet completely foreseeable. According to legislators, the municipalities must collect the property taxes "income -neutral", that is, neither profit nor loss. With the new year and a complete overview of the calculations, it will be shown what this means for the city of Niesky.
