serious consequences of an accident

A serious accident two years ago led to the current difficulties of land slaughterhouse. A young bull seriously injured Axel Römmling, which resulted in several operations and rehabilitation. These health impairments meant that the company can no longer be continued. The slaughterhouse currently employs 11 people whose future is now uncertain.

The Römmling slaughterhouse has also added branches in Wittmar and Schöppenstedt over the years and received the EU approval as a slaughterhouse in 2010. Axel Römmling was known to select the cattle directly from the farmer and to process the animals themselves. The long tradition and the personal stories connected to the slaughterhouse show the importance of this company for the region.
