One reason for relief for the residents!
dike for "shovel -free" declared
Matthias Wenholt, the first district council of the Wesermarsch district, officially declared the dike to be "shovel -free" after the autumn dike show. This means that the dikes are in a stable state and are ready to defy the upcoming challenges of the storm surges. The preparations are made and the region can concentrate on the upcoming weather events without having to worry about the safety of the dikes.
The Deichschau Commission has checked all the necessary measures and confirmed that the protective systems meet the requirements. This is particularly important because the storm surges have repeatedly caused great damage in the past. The region has learned from this experience and is now better prepared than ever!
